abstract Doe

Well I've been getting to know my Photoshop Elements 7, and having a blast with all these cool effects, filters etc. So just wanted to share this abstract of an image I cropped and converted....those little bright things on her nose were pieces of cracked corn...her and her fawn were feeding right close to the house in a pail of bird feed...on a wet & snowy Easter Morning!

frozen in time!!!

I just love how the sun gives this wall of ice a sense of color and life all it's own!!!....it's amazing how brown some of it looks from the rust in the spring which it comes from....then at times it will be blue...or almost pure white.....this rock cut was from Algonquin Park!!!!

Mystery Ice

I was visiting friends on Oak Lake near Havelock, and all along the shore were these fantastic ice formations.....as if the lake level suddenly dropped and the water instantly froze.....they have owned that resort for over 10 years and never witness this before!!!!!

Well we finally have enough snow for some Great after dark shots, this is the home of our neighbors, we unfortunately don't have trees, just little 3 foot pines...but they will look great in about another 3 or 4 years.

The Magic of Fall

I was just amazed by these dead fall leaves, how velvety they looked and the warmth of the sun glowing through them...so sad that all we see now is the color of gray in the distant hills...the tamaracks are glowing a pretty gold, but they also will loose their needles. I can't wait for the first snows or heavy frosts...or even an ice storm. That would be Great for a shoot!!!!!

last color of the season

Our trees are almost bare with all these high winds and rain, but was fortunate to take these shots of this glorious red maple before the nasty weather hit .....the colors were hard to enjoy with all this rain and cold, but I was blessed to be out on the clear days with my camera....now I just have to wait for the snow!!!!!
