More Snowy Shots of Algonquin Park

I hope the beginning of this paragraph starts at the right point this time....here is another series of shots taking last Monday, March the 7th. Some are from the Big Pines hiking trail, one is of the kids who were Ski Joring and the others were just scenes taken along the corridor near the West End of the park. I don't think we will see this kind of snowfall again for this winter....but I am just so thrilled to be in the right place at the right time to shoot on such a perfect day!!!!!

I do not understand why my write ups are showing up in such weird formats.....so sorry!!!!! I also forgot to mention about that little log cabin. It's the warm-up cabin the Park prof ides for cross-country skiers and snowshoe enthusiast who want to warm up after a run...it's has a wood stove and picnic tables inside....a Great! place to enjoy a lunch or snack after your winter activities. In the summer it's used for the mountain bike trails....

Love the cabin picture! They are all great but, that's my favorite. The snow on the trees is so beautiful!

Those trees are carrying quite a heavy (and beautiful) load of snow!

I have always wanted to try such a sport!

Lovely photos...I'd like to see it on my bike one day.....

Your photos are indescribably beautiful. How lucky you were to be there... sigh! I do believe I was working that day and the scenery definitely wasn't that wonderful where I was!!!! Gorgeous!!!!

Thanks Everyone...Yes it truly was a blessing to experience my favorite Park in such Majestic Beauty!!!! My poor husband was so patient, we stopped at least 20 times as we travelled the length of the park. I just regret not thinking of stopping at the East Gate for a parking pass so we could have spent more time on the trail!!!! Next Year we are purchasing a year long pass!!!!!

Wonderful pictures! Love the deer in the snow. I've been wanting to get out to Algonquin to crosscountry ski, might be too late this year though.
