Spring Sunrise in Algonquin Park

She awakens from her long winter slumber, the days warm, the snow retreats and the ice becomes thin and rots. Soon we will hear The Call of the Loon on her lakes and streams. The fish will run the streams and rivers to spawn. The shaggy Moose will seek the mineral rich salty water and new growth. Soon many will return to breathe in her Beauty & Serenity. I have returned home.

Beautiful 'spring pictures' ... Colors and composition fine line with the spring atmosphere. Similar to ours is a lake-view. Lake ice water are slow to change. The snow will be reduced. Night frosts are finishing off winter. Happy Spring ...

You can never take too many pictures said...

Yes Eko, with still cooler nights the ice is very slow to rot and sink!!!!! There are open areas around river outflows, but almost over a meter an a half of thick ice there!

So lovely. I enjoy going daily to see how the ice is melting....ever so slowly....to bring us to warmth. And the call of loons!
