The Birth of a Fern

I Love the stages of a fiddle head as it first uncurls into a silky layer then finally releases the most delicate little soft green leaves I've ever seen. This species of Fern is not very edible but I love the ones that my husband makes Fiddle Head soup with....Yummmmm!
