Algonquin Park Star shot!

This has got to be my favorite shot from my 2 day course with Steve Elms, but it sure is a challenge to try shooting in such pitch black conditions. If I ever attempt this again I'll make sure I'm on scene alot sooner before the light is gone, so that I can point my lens in the right direction and make sure the subject matter is all in the frame. There is a little waterfall in the far left bottom corner, and It would have been nicer to have it over as part of the composition. Lessons learned!!!!! Look Steve up on his blog at SteveElmsPhotography.com if you ever want to experience an exceptional course in Algonquin Park, and he is so reasonable!!!!!

I take your point in your comments Susan, however, in my humble (and very amateur) opinion - the focus would still be on that incredible sky chock-full of stars - the tree tops reaching up to them. A wonderful shot! Inspiration for me to get outside after dark and start experimenting... thank you :D)

You can never take too many pictures said...

Thanks susan, and I would Love to see the results!!!!!
