Proud Mama and her twins
We have a deer feeding area just a few klms away on Long Lake in Novar....it was a heavy snowy day and the deer were not so spooky this time. There were 18 deer feeding when we approached....I love the fuzzy look their coats have in Mid Winter. Always enjoy watching them, and noticed a bit of a social order and the head deer who sends the first signal of alarm...it's hard to tell if it's a Buck or a Doe who leads .....would need a strong zoom lens to see the stumps on a Bucks forehead...should bring my binoculars next time.....

Siberian Beauty
Notice the frost on this dog's fur, he had much more when he came in after his long 60 klm. run. Lots of mixed breeds at the dogsled races, but I still prefer the original authentic breeds...this Boy was a handsome Lad with his gorgeous blue eyes.....
Frozen in Time
Spent a few hours yesterday snowshoeing in Arrowhead Provincial Park, and found some wonderful natural ice sculptures along Stubb's Falls....the water is so tea stained, ....it gave the ice a golden glow. Enjoy!!!!
