Proud Mama and her twins
We have a deer feeding area just a few klms away on Long Lake in Novar....it was a heavy snowy day and the deer were not so spooky this time. There were 18 deer feeding when we approached....I love the fuzzy look their coats have in Mid Winter. Always enjoy watching them, and noticed a bit of a social order and the head deer who sends the first signal of alarm...it's hard to tell if it's a Buck or a Doe who leads .....would need a strong zoom lens to see the stumps on a Bucks forehead...should bring my binoculars next time.....

It's true. When was out to Milford Bay, there was always one deer that was in charge, while the other nibbled at the branches.
We had some deer here, on OUR Long Lake in Bala! People told me the tracks spotted were not deer. Hmf!
Re: photo slide shows - I had the slide show up, Susan, and found it really slowed the site load time down.I found it better to post one photo, with a link to the photo album. .my 2 cents!
