We've seen many a Bull Moose in the spring...but never one that had absolutely no growth with his antlers...I was told they need the nutrients in the salt rich new growth of cattails growing along the ditches....and lots of it!!!!! The schrubs and browse that they feed on during the winter just dosen't give them what they need. We first mistook this guy as a Cow....

It's going to be a peculiar year, methinks. Little snow. Early bugs. Fire watches.
Sad to say...but Yes.especialy the fires....it was sooo dry in the bush!!!! Thank Goodness there's quit a few more weeks for rain to come before the heards of careless people arrive up here....
That was a really neat find, great to see the moose.
