Special Effects Peonie
I just Love some of the settings on my Nikon D5000 SLR, this is called a Low Key effect, it's slightly underexposed, then I increased the contrast and saturation. To me it looks like I used special lighting and a black backdrop, but this is the flower on the original bush. I used my 85mm macro lens on a tripod ....it was about 7:30 in the evening with heavy overcast skies. What do you think of it??????

This has given me incentive to play around a bit more with the camera settings.
I like the lighting it's given the Peonie. When I enlarged your photo, the flower didn't look real... it looked like a paper flower. Overall, an interesting effect.
Yes you are right Susan...but I think that's why I like it so much!!!! It's so much fun to discover what this camera can do besides the usual A,S M & P modes.
Well done. As always, I am too slow with my camera. Things happen fast around here. The kitten playing in my granddaughter's potty...
Oh Jenn, what a house full of living, with Grandkids, Kittens and what ever else comes your way!!!!!You are amazing my Friend!!!!!

I think it is stunning
